We had some spectacular lee wave clouds tonight - these two shots were taken just 8 minutes apart. You can see some pretty big changes in the clouds, and a beautiful change in color as the Sun set. These images are just as they left the camera, only resized for this forum.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Nice comparison. Your colors are very nice. It's amazing how much difference there can be in such a short time.

Very nice, what a difference a couple of minutes made. Do you have the camera set on standard image sytle?

Those are impressive clouds, and I like the colours of the first shot as they seem best to enhance the cloud detail.

There certainly is a difference in the colouring of the cloud as the sun is setting, good to see the two shots that shows this.
I must say though that these are very impressive clouds and the first one to me is the best, well done.

Me too, I like that first one. Colours sit better with me.
Lovely clouds though, you are right in saying the light changes fast at sunset. It's one of the banes of landscape photography.

Thanks to everyone for your comments. To answer JoeGolf's question: I was shooting with the camera in the Automatic P mode. ExifReader says that the first was shot at 1/100 sec, F5.0, ISO 200. The second at 1/50s, F3.5, ISO 200. The light is fading fast at that time of day.
