The quarterback dropped back to pass; the ball went in the air, the recievers hands went up under coverage, then the ref stepped into my line of sight...

No soup for me!

*sigh*
It's not even a good shot of ref backside, I've had better.

I know I'm not the only one that gets this stuff, c'mon put up your accidental ref shot.

Let's see 'em!

Thanks for looking!

I shoot ore baseball than football and I've taken many shots of the backsides of umpires during a close play at the plate or a steal of second. Unfortunately most of them are round filed! I finally got tired of the ump trying to steal the shot so I gave him the attention he wanted so much hoping he would then get out of my shots!...Here's a shot to satisfy his need for attention.

I believe in high school American football that the officials are required to stand between any receiver and any photographer during a reception or interception. Also, they must always run in the direction of photographers shooting from the sidelines, preferably bumping along the way and stopping between the photographer and ball carrier. I erase those images ... it creates a lot of space on my CF cards!

Like Dwight, I get rid of most of my ref shots but here's a shot of the ref getting in the way of the play. You just know it's not going to end well.

I usually do if I think about it.

Sometimes they slip by though.

He was in my line of sight, but more so in the line of sight of the head coach. The coach obviously didn't like the call. Shot was from VA Division 1 playoff game. This coach won, despite the call. Thanks for looking.

Well, this ref shot was actually better than any of the actual football pictures I got that day anyway! haha
