Hi

New to this - posted a couple on other threads (and this in the wrong place!) but this is my first ever long exposure - just wanted to get some feedback.

It's a park just behind ikea in Croydon believe it or not

Cheers!

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Thanks for that Chander :) - I like it although it does look heavily post-processed - something in between might be better - it's got that fantasy feel now!

Mah - I know what you mean - I choose the Park while the rest of SE London choose Ikea, B&Q, Sofa Warehouse, McDonalds and Sportsworld - (the estate just out of shot behind the trees)

Nice shot (a little soft, but is that due to jpeg compression?), and I think you can add a little contrast in to give it more punch.
It would make a good B&W actually with more contrast across the tonal range.

I think it is mostly due to the jpeg - it looks better here:

how about this for the b&w:

Works better in the larger size within your link.
Good image with an impressive perspective, well controlled whites, balanced exposure.
Some sensor dust spots (in the whites) that need removing.

Concentrate on equipment and you'll take technically good photographs. Concentrate on seeing the light's magic colours and your images will stir the soul. - Jack Dykinga
