Hello all. This is my first visit to the site and what a gem! So many talented photographers and such great advice. I can spend hours looking at the photos and reading all the tips from everyone.
I'm fairly new to digital photography having just purchased my 1st dSLR. I'm hooked and rarely go anywhere without camera in tow. I took these throughout the fall 2006 season of my childrens and relatives teams. Nothing quite as satisfying and making a person smile when you email them a great shot of their son or daughter playing.

Nice pic, good color. The first one looks like they are floating on air :)

The last one has her head and foot cut off. :(

you're right about that last one. i was mainly focused on the girl in blue, but i shouldn't have cut that poor girls head off. easy enough to fix.

I'm using the Canon 70-200 F4 L usm. I would have liked the 2.8 IS but it was a bit more than i could afford at the time. So far the F4 is fine for outdoors which is what i mainly shoot.
