My boys went on a field trip to a nature area not too far from the house. Suprise, surprise, it might be what I've been looking for.

Heard a familiar call and made a mad dash to grab a quick shot.

Thanks everyone. Talking to the staff, I was told they have a whole bunch of wildlife in the area, including swans, cormorants, loons as well as a few critters of the furry persuasion. Living inside the city, things get a little old and having a place just 15 minutes away will undoubtably give us countless hours of fun and new opportunties.
