They all do it, and it's misleading. It must sell cameras, though, or they wouldn't do it. In the commercial from what I remember, they show the viewfinder af points above the final image with bokeh and whatever, and then just make that snap noise and remove the af points, making it look like you are seeing exactly what you saw through the viewfinder, even though we all know you don't see bokeh for example in your viewfinder.
