Great shot!

Love the colours and the overall composition!

Good idea too to include the reflection of the pier in the photo.

My only comment would be the central placement of the surfer and of the horizon line.

Great shot :D ...I recognised the pier as soon as i saw it..Am too in huntington beach...And have been hunting for such nice shot frm sucha long time...

It is the the way it is beacuse that is where the surfer was in relationship to the sun. If I could have moved the sun and the surfer I would have.

Agree about a crop from the right to take away the central placement of the figure, it would work then.

Wonderful colours and either moving a tad before the original shot or cropping to take the figure out of centre would make all the difference.........
