Hope it wasn't the cook in the accident. The light did hit him well.

Middle school kids are tough to deal with. If I worked there, I'd leave in the middle of the day too.

Nice photo of life in your city. Thanks.

When you wonder around a city you know and love, over time you learn to see where a certain kind of light will fall at a certain time of day. How light falls through certain windows, how certain places cast certain shadows. It's one of the greatest aids to a street shooter and it's absolutely free, and alls you have to do is wait for somebody to enter it.

I don't know what good composition is.... Sometimes for me composition has to do with a certain brightness or a certain coming to restness and other times it has to do with funny mistakes. There's a kind of rightness and wrongness and sometimes I like rightness and sometimes I like wrongness. Diane Arbus

That's so true Seany ... went for a sandwhich at lunchtime today and saw some great light just waiting to be shot, that was bathing a giant Santa perfectly, so made note to shoot it on the way back (Stomach rumbling!) Returned and within the 4-5 minutes I was gone it had changed and too bright. Waste of time even trying.

Hello Dave me old salty sea dog

While i've seen much better street work then this

It's a good example of how tracking the right light is something so worth doing on the street. Well anywhere, but street shooter often go looking for people, when a good location is a perfect trap for a great shot, it's a wating game and that waiting will help relax and prepare you for a good shot.

I do like the fluid nature of just finding a subject though, just try to but the street in your favour if you can.

In late autumn best time for me is 15:30 to 16:30 at favorite intersection. On clear day light is gold color.
