Hi,
I was just wondering if my Olympus 1.7 tc would fit on my new Canon 30D.

Just to clarify, the answer is probably not. But it may be possible that an Olympus-Canon EF lens adapter may be able to connect the two, but that solution may turn out to be pretty cluncky and you may not get a reasonable image out of it (You'll certainly lose the ability to auto-focus).

However, I'd suggest you'll be better off selling it (if it's in good condition) and buying a Canon or Kenko 1.4x teleconverter which will work fine. Although saying that, the auto-focus functionality will depend on the aperture of the lens you're teleconverting.

It will if it is mounted on to the filter ring of the lens - so long as you can get an adapter ring. However the quality is likely not to be too good - I suspect this is from an Olympus compact digital camera?

It will not fit if it is the type that goes between the camera body and a (removable) lens.

Which Olympus does it fit/come from?

Thanks Paul B.
The TC is from an Olympus C 750 Ultra Zoom. It works good on my Panasonic FZ20 also Just wondered if with the right step up or step down rings if it would work on this new camera.

it will work, but the image quality will suffer due to the additional glass, especially compared to a comparable lens of the corresponding length.
