Hope I don't bore you with another shot similar to my last post, but it's such a photogenic place I just had to make another visit. May not be my last either:lol: The next time, I'll wait for low tide and pull on a pair of rubber boots and make it out to the island:lol::rolleyes:

Hope you like

Very nice low angle light Frank and the path just takes you there.
I would suggest next time to try and get a shot from that hill to the left and see if you can have a wider view of the place.
Waiting to see the next one.

Thanks King, and I'll be exploiting this area as much as I can for awhile.

Thanks Dimitri for your comment and an excellent plan. You just gave me another reason to go back, so the top of the hill it wil be.:D;)

Thanks Doug. The place is in Tors Cove.

Not last Saturday Doug but I was there last Sunday. I plan on making a visit to Cape Spear this weekend. There's a spot down between the rocks just below the lower parking lot that I'm interesting in shooting. Not sure about the time, could be earlier morning to get the rising sun or sometime after 3 in the afternoon.

Do you shoot much over there?

ahh ok, I met a fellow who was there shooting as well but I didn't get his name, thought it may have been you. I was up trying to get some sunrise shots in.
I know the spot you mean, I shot a few massive swells there last weekend.
I'm up there a fair bit. I originally was going to try some light painting ideas in the old bunkers I had the night before but I got out there and there were a couple of very bold foxes there so I didn't bother. something to keep in mind though.
if you get the chance, the manuels river trail is looking nice this time of year too.

Another wicked shot, Frank. I went through Tors Cove, I'm sure, but don't remember if we stopped there. Certainly did not see this kind of lighting.

Thanks Stan, but as you know it's a real hit or miss when it comes to the weather around here.

Stunning Frank, no doubt about it. Absolutely beautiful lighting, contrasted well by that moody sky. Excellent lead-ins and positioning.
I'm loving your work right now, you're a good inspiration.
And you can bore me any day of the week with more pics of this place.
