Thanks for the assistance! It seems the Sandisk writes almost 30% faster than the Kingston pro, although I believe the camera is limited anyways to just over 5MBs. Also the Sandisk has a lifetime warranty verses 3 years. Geez, the Kingston can be had for just $19.99 ARw/GCO at Buy.com verses the Ultra at Staples this Friday for just $39.99 or double... 40D, 70-200 f/2.8L, Tamron17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di-II, EX-580,Canon 1.4tc

In 3 years time you might not even be using those small capacity memory cards. Also, if you card does lose your your images, it's lost. Having any sort of lifetime warrenty won't bring your data back. Having any sort of lifetime warrenty won't bring your data back. Also, again IMHO, CF card speeds are just hype. Anyone who wants to spend 2-4 times more on a fast card for cameras that can't write to the CF card much faster thant he cheap cards is free to do so. Also, those who want to spend the said amount more for cards that copy to the PC x% times faster than my cheap cards are also free to do so...I just browse this forum while my slow el-cheape card slowly copies my 2gbs of images to my PC. I'm not a pro and can wait 5 mimutes to copy 2gb's to my PC. Sandisk (I use Extreme III 2Gb cards) do come with "RescuePRO" data recovery software on CD. Canon 400D, (1DMkIII pre-ordered), 500mm f/4 L IS, 70-210 EF, 1.4x TC, BG-E3 grip, Manfrotto 055 + Wimberley II head, Lowepro Lenstrekker 600AW backpack, Crumpler bag.

So if you buy the faster card now, you're giving yourself some growth room. Jon
