I have a Canon EOS 20D and am going to be taking wedding pictures and senior portraits. What model CF card should I get and of what capacity (1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, etc).

Also, do you recommend I get a card reader, as well, and if so, what kind should I get?

Thanks!

The Sandisk Extreme series are probably the most popular around here, but not the cheapest. Take a look at Newegg, and the Ridata brand of cards. Good, fast cards, and cheap. Any usb card reader will do.

I would strongly suggest that you get more than one card. Depending on how many shots you intend to take in any one session, four to six 1GB cards should do just fine.

Never "put all your eggs into one basket" when it comes to memory cards. Someday you will leave a card in the reader at home and not discover it until you're 40 miles from home and unpacking for a job. Someday, you will find a card failing you. You don't want the whole shoot lost.

If you are going to shoot in Raw I suggest several 2gb cards. I use only Sandisk Ultra II and have never had a problem. They are also warrenteed for life. I would definatly get a card reader. any USB 2 type will work fine.
