I have a 30d and want to do some time-lapse photography. How can I do this without a laptop?
Do I need the special timer remote control?

Self-timer; 2. Interval Timer; 3. Bulb-exposure timer; 4. Shutter release count. I think interval timer is what you need. It says "the timer can be set anywhere from 1 sec to 99 hours, 59 minutes in 1 second increments." Film: Leica M-4, Elan 7E, Rolleiflex 2.8f, Pentax 645 -- Digital: Canon Pro-1, EOS 5D Mk III

If there's one of those on the 30D then it should work. Yes I use a TC-80N3 on my 30D, works fine. 7D w/grip, 17-55/2.8, 100/2.8 macro, 200/2.8L II, 580 EX II

Second that. Used it on bonfire night set at 15 secintervals whilst I was setting off the fireworks for the kids, P mode, AI Servo worked a treat! Any combination of self timer, interval and multi exposures. Not cheap tho! Al
