Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Man that stinks! I'm just coming off of a 2 1/2 month hiatus because of rotator cuff surgery. Sorry to hear that.

That's nasty stuff, I hope your saw bones put everything back in the right place. when things are healing, the physio becomes your best friend and your worst enemy. do what they tell you, and don't accept anyone saying you have lost 70% function. fight hard and you will amaze yourself.

Good luck and, of course, get well soon!

No, don't hang up the camera just yet. Now is the time to start think about macro
and table top stuff. Practice your product and food stuff too. Of course heal well before you try anything, but once you quit it is real ahrd to try and restart something. You will have plenty of time to study light learn to play with it, direct it, place it etc.

Butterflys and bugs need portraits too and you don't need heavy gear for that. On of my favorite (photographic ) friends is missing most of her left arm from the elbow down. She uses a 800mm CAT lens to do A/C stuff and is pretty successful.

So you won't be doing any heavy lifitng for awile. Maybe God has something else he needs images of. I do know that PT will get you as much movement as you can, so go hard in that direction when safe to do so.

Good luck and Godspeed,

Les

Thanks everyone for the kind words, oh an nothing is for sale lol! both my cameras will be returned to canon for service an clean while im takin a break

Stevie,

Sorry to hear about your accident and I wish you a speedy and full recovery soon. Getting your camera bodies serviced during your "down" time is a great idea...at least you have found the silver lining in your cloud.

We will be looking for some great pictures from your "refurbished" cameras soon...
