Interesting exercise in contrasts on a number of different levels. This ties in well with your theme and title. Good composition.

Nice one Athena very creative, it has a three dimensional effect, the pebble and it's reflection seem to be outside of the picture.

Cheers :)

glad to hear all is well, athena. hadn't heard back from you and wondered how stable things were.

about the image....i know it's powerful, but it's difficult to say exactly what i think is happening. the shadow of the hand gives me an ominous feeling, and i find myself peering into the glass button trying to figure out the rest of the story. is someone reaching for something? someone? are they simply reaching, touching, grasping....or grabbing?

it's compelling and enigmatic at the same time, and that's difficult to achieve.

I gotta say, I'm really enjoying this series. It's got a unique aesthetic all it's own.

I'm reminded of hands over a crystal ball.

WOW, what a fantastic image. The composition and subject are so simple yet there is so much going on at the same time. I think this is the kind of image that will evoke a different response from everyone that sees it.

It makes me think of the illusion of self, as though the pebble were a microcosm reflecting an external reality, but thats just my take on it lol.

Very powerful image, now I have to go and find the rest of this series.

Protium - what a fabulous response - thank you. I especially enjoyed your interpretation. I love hearing what people think of when they look at this series. I'm also interested in your thoughts on this one if you feel like sharing. :D
