When I connect the AV cable to the camera to view pictures on TV the LCD screen goes black. Can anyone help?
Thanks
Mike

That's normal behavior with an S110. Check your manual. I'll bet you'll find out that it is functioning correctly.

That's also normal for a G2 - I would imagine it's the same for all the Canon camera's - realistically, why spend the battery power on both sending AV signals & keeping the LCD on??

Cheers,
Stuart

Ok thanks. I'm not getting a signal on the TV either. I thought maybe something was wrong with the camera.
I appreciate your replies

Mike, I would again urge you to check your manual but I'll offer a couple of more bits.

- you are supposed to turn both the camera and television off before connecting them with the cable
- if you get sound but no picture, make sure the TV or VCR are set to "composite" instead of S-Video (this one got me the first time I tried it)
- if the image still does not appear, press "DISP" on the camera

Good luck,

Tom Brown
