What do you suppose such a letter would say? And how much do you think it will cost you do get that done? What do you have to gain by taking such action?

Ok, so this person did a naughty thing. Maybe let him know it was naughty. Then let it go. There are times when we all need to decide which battles are worth fighting. And in this case, you have nothing to gain by winning.

Fear by the under classmen.

In all seriousness, he obviously didn't do it on purpose, and he doesn't seem like a total jerk. You got the credit, so let it go.

He did do it on purpose. In your freshamn year at my high school, your taught about copyright and stealing work. Everyone knows what copyright means. In This case, it's called "Taken Advantage of a nice guy".
. Heck, one of my senior class mates took my photos, he dosen't know what copyright means? ;)

Of course we all know what copyright means. But come on. How many people on myspace use pictures of celebrities, pictures of themselves taken by other people, quotes, backgrounds, etc without asking? A whole hell of a lot. Not everyone knows that copyright includes items on the internet. He wasn't taking advantage of you. It's not like he was out there claiming it as his own and selling it to classmen.

Maybe, he did know he shouldn't have used it without your permission, but he paid his dues and you got all the credit. Do you want compensation now? It's myspace, not a billboard.

If it's been hyperlinked from your original location then you could replace it with a photo of a pair of bare buttocks. That tends to work.

Works like a charm, I've done it before :D
