A couple of shots taken at the beginning of the week when there was a slight frost and nice early morning sun.

First one works well, and would look good in gritty B&W also.
I think there is too much empty space in the sky in the second?

I love the first shot and, as Les said, it works really well in B+W. I did a quick conversion I could post if you like?

Superb shots. The place is polluted by people during the day. You got up early and it paid off. I take my hat off to you sir - these captures are very special. :)

They are rocks?

Just kidding, I don't know the history of them, even though I've seen multiple shows about them.

Here you go. I converted to B+W, tweaked the levels a touch, did a bit of dodging and burning and finally applied some negative diffuse glow. I think it works. what do you reckon?

Where's the fence? Last time I was there there was a fence totally surrounding it. Were these taken from near the heelstone?

Getting there nice and early has the advantage of the place not being open to the public so theres no people milling around the scene, and yes the fence is still their but im tall enough to get my camera resting on top, a nice improvised tripod of soughts.
Elfy thanks for going to the trouble of the conversion, I think you've made a great job of it, looks superb mate.
Cheers Andrew Brown

I remember Stonehenge well, I used to live right next door!

Some great shots there, I love the panoramic adaptation of the original.

#1, make it a poster!. #2 nice, but I agree on the empty space.

I have to go against the trend and say I really like the composition of #2, breaking the rule of thirds in a good way!
