Order from BH. $600 in paper and ink for my bidness. Shipping is $140 bucks for 3-5 bidness day UPS express.

3 weeks later my tracking info is finally updated. Receiver has moved. So (UPS) you're telling me that Club Med has moved? When I see the lady from UPS almost every time I go to IGA and she knows be by name?

So now I'm paperless, having to pay the local gougers still. Man was on the moon before I was born and I'm pushing 40. In this day and age of internet, whirlygigs and electric lighting you'd think that shipping a package from New York to an airport in the caribbean would be feasible since it has been accomplished before by same companies to same receiver.

Silver lining? I need to add a lens nad a filter to my order once it gets back to BH. If I get nailed for shipping twice I'll just call my CC company and make waves.

Happy Thanksgiving America!

edit: My wife thinks I need a drink tonight. It's been one of those weeks.

$140 to ship and it's still cheaper than local? Damn. :|

Did the UPS lady have anything to say about it? Wouldn't she have had to try and deliver it if it had gotten there?

I'll have a chat with her in the morning.

Yeah, Canon BCI-6 ink is $20 a pop here. 20 sheets of photopaper pro is $16.99

I bought 10 of each colour and 500 sheets of Ilford yummy pearl.

If BH lets me add a 70-200 F4 Is and a 77mm CP I'll be happy....with no extra shipping.

Such are the vagueries of life in the tropics of paradise. Just grin and bear it, I guess. :)

Oh, and dump that ink sucking printer. Get a big Epson. Your ink will last you a year with the 220ml cartridges. I got them on ebay for less than half of B&H's cost.

Nothing abstract here, Doc. If you don't make money, you don't pay taxes.

I live in Iowa and I don't pay taxes :)
Each year the Govt gives me a bit of my own money back, without any interest charges I would have got if I had loaned it to someone else :(
