I see that everybody has posted their obligatory duck shots... Well, I have shot about 12K pics since getting my 350D and not one duck... Am I still going to be cursed with years of bad luck for no duck shots?

Until such time as you take the requisite duck shot, all your photographic endeavors will suffer from some serious malady...CA, OOF, bad bokeh........you name it....get out there and shoot that duck!

Every kilobytes of pictures you take will get you a month of bad luck so, yeah, 12k shots will get you 12 months of bad luck. :(

The good news is, you can counter that by taking an equal number of kilobytes of duck shots. So, to completely wipe out your back luck for not taking a duck shot as your first shot, you'll need to take 12k of duck shots. :)

I think I am screwed then. I took over 12K shots since I got my XT

That would explain a lot!

The sooner you start shooting ducks...the sooner your photographs will start to improve.

Guess I am going to have to go hunt some ducks. I just can't think of any in my area... Well, if I don't find some soon, Tractor Supply will get in their babies in a few months :D

Closest I have came to ducks is a mama starling feeding her baby sequence and they weren't great shots.

I still haven't taken my first duck shot yet. I should maybe get on that eh.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

When this whole duck shooting thing started a couple of years ago, it was to test a new lens, usually a long lens such as the 100-400L. I guess it eventually worked its way to new cameras over the years. Not sure when that happened though :)

The change won't be instantaneous....but you will start noticing an improvement very soon.

What kind of a website is that? All I get when I click on it is a page full of unintelligible non-printable characters.
