its a beautiful photo, however, the color is a bit off, or is it? purple sky? to be honest, i am not sure because i have witnessed some unbelievable dusk photos, especially in arizona.

Since the original post, I increased shadow detail by 10% and reduced highlights by 10% to compensate for the film scanner. Reducing the highlights also darkened the sky. The photo place refused to give me the uncorrected raw scan, and instead increased saturation probably to compensate for saturation loss during the scan. I might get a drum scan when I can afford it. But for now, it seems the colors are visually pleasing even though not completely true. They are kind of like using a tungsten film for night photos. Is it cheating? No, it's art. :-) After all, the lights don't really look like streaks in real life. But if the colors look too fake...that's not appealing either.
