ok i didnt know where else to put this, so firstly sorry to the admin dudes if this is in the wrong bit o f the forum.

Ok this was my first attempt at fireworks, handheld as i forgot to bring a monopod doh!
they are on a slide show as there are quite a few, and it might be easier for those on dial up to view.

I would like tips on firework shooting please- i know a mono is essential but what settings do you use.
I used less than a second for the shutter speed any longer and the camera needed time to write to memory and i lost a shot as a result. Are you meant t o turn off the long esposure noise reduction in shooting these types of events?

Sorry, I don't know enough about fireworks shots to help, but I think yours are pretty good. A tripod definitely helps though.

I wouldn't bother with noise reduction. You need a longer shutter. You can reduce noise afterwards if needed.
