Night shots at home

Took some night shots tonight at my apartment. I'm still a newbie and enjoying my 400d. I have grown a strong interest in night shooting. Here are some pictures. C & C welcome.

In some of the pictures I was getting wierd blue orb looking things. Anyone know if that can be adjusted from the camera, so that they don't appear? Thanks for looking.

I like the reflections.

Nice shots. The grass looks like astroturf!

Those blue streaks/orbs are lens flare. I'm not sure that you can prevent them using in-camera settings, probably someone more clued up on here might have a better idea. Maybe a filter of some sort would help.

I like the last one with the water shooting up.

Some cracking shots there for sure. The fountain shots add a bit of movement to the pics too - well done!!

I'm in a similar position to you as I have really go the taste for night shots as found here
