Hey all, not trying to gloat here but somehow DJ made it over to my website and was browsing my blog. He had some really nice things to say about my last wedding shoot and it just feels awesome that he would take his time to leave me a message. Anyhow, thought I would share becaue I was pretty excited...maybe I'm just being a dork though. :)

Thanks a bunch! Night time photography is one of my favorite things to do now. I was once deathly scared of it but I have grown to love it. You just need to have a tripod, a little knowladge of flash and some patience. I usually will shoot at a slow enough shutter speed to get more ambiant light. Why not do it with aperture right? Well, I like to stop the lens down just a bit to get a little sharper images. I have the 24-70L but cant stand shooting it wide open. I then will usually use a bit of FEC and bump it up by mabe 1/3 of a stop sometimes more depending on distance, etc. It's really not to tuff once you practice a lot with it. Please let me know if I can answer anything else!!

They do look great! It's always fun to get feedback on your photos... So when you use a tripod and a slow shutter do you find it's hard to keep the couple still? How slow do you go? They look really nice!
