That is a gauntlet if I ever saw one ... let's hope his sweet daughter will bend over and pick it up for him. Then you'll get your pink ass whopped good son ;)

Oh I have no doubt that his collection far surpasses mine and has done for some time. At best I can muster 14 L's (three of which my wife 'looks after' for me), having 36 EF lenses... that's not a collection that's a shops stock. It would just be nice to see it listed in full so that we can make usefull suggestions instead of recomending lenses he already has.

All the best

Regarding flaunting, you kinda blew that having three threads containing lens pictures and this one's really not helping.

So post a gearlist and be damned.

All the best

Hmmm....you might have a valid point there....:confused:
No need to post...... damned already.

Eventually I'd like to round up my coLLection to 20 L's.
That would make it 36 Canon EF lenses total !!!!!!

ONLY THREE TO GO. The candidates are: 50 f/1.2, 14L MkII, 200 f/2.0 IS.
:evil: Mwuahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahaha:evil:

(Tareq, Belmondo, Bearsummer, Aerosmith and Frett-some-more must be smitten by anxiety too;) )

I admit a slight smitty-ness myself. :)

i noticed several of you have the 50 1.2 as "ordered". What's with that? Didn't Canon announce that lens a few months ago? Are they using Santa's elves to make them? BTW, I'd actually like to see what that lens can do. So, when you get one, post something, okay?

No doubt, Dunbar of Glasgwys was not a man to cross....your family must hail from Teviotdale or some such hamlet of 14th century debouchery and sin.

Nobody seems to know when it's going to be released. The only people I've seen giving a date are saying December 15. None of my reliable sources know anything at all.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Why didn't you ask before ? Papa Petkal will do it for ya:
* Built like tank.
* A bit heavy.
* AF is fast enough.
* Expensive, but the price will come down to $1,499 by May 2007.
* Paper thin DoF.
* Buttery-creamy-dreamy bokeh
* Becomes razor sharp when stopped down to f/2.2.
* CA is noticeable wide open to f/2.2.
* Steep learning curve.

20 Ls. Big deal. All you shoot is rodents and stuffed birds.

GEt with it. Open a studio, start shooting some hot women. Only in this way can you stop spending money on batteries for your pacemaker. Your old ticker will get the jump start it needs. :)
