Hello all. I have decided to get a calibration kit and these are the two I would like to pick from. I am extremly picky about colors. Please voice your opinion on which one you think I should pick and vote in the poll for the one you have or would buy between the two listed.

Thanks so much.

I voted for the express. I have it and love it. My ambient lighting stays consistent so I don't need that feature of the huey. I also don't want to relinquish desk space for it.

I have to vote for the Monaco Optix XR with the ColorEyes software. I know its not on your list, but it worked fantastic on my CRT!!

Its received very good reviews, which is why I chose it...check it out.

I should also mention that X_Rite is discontinuing the Optix XR (DTP94) in favor of the EYE-ONE Display 2, so you'll be able to pick up the Monaco Optix for a great price!! It will still be supported by X-Rite, and its an awesome tool. I;ve seen the hardware on ebay for as low as $99.00

I went for the Spyder2 rather than the express. As far as I know the hardware is exactly the same and it's just that they switch on a few more features in the software. It does make a difference and I've never regretted the purchase.

cheers
Bill

Interesting results so far... I'm looking to buy one of these as well, and have heard good things about both. In my situation the light varies a fair bit from daylight to incandescent. I'm leaning towards the Huey. The price is right at B&H too...

My lighting situation does change throughout the day, but once the monitor is calibrated it shouldn't matter what the light is should it?

Thanks for all the tips so far
