Nov 25, 2006 18:15 | #5 Thanks all, it was the colours I was more interested in hearing comments on, as I am experimenting with the Singh-Ray gold 'n' blue filter. It saturates the colours so much, hardly any post processing is necessary, other than usm and maybe a tweak in levels. It's easy to overdo the effect of the filter though. This image was taken at about 1:30pm, and I liked the way the filter changed the hard middle of the day light. Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop. -Ansel Adams

The color of the sky sems to be a bit off, but that is just my opinion. Otherwise the colors and composition are striking. Nov 26, 2006 13:55 | #12 Thanks again everyone - Jeff, I think the idea of the filter is that it makes colours somewhat surreal, it all depends on how much effect you want. Turned slightly more, the sky would be electric blue. Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop. -Ansel Adams
