I'm looking for a temporary solution, so something free would be preferable!
Basically, I shoot a lot of images for press use, and then end up emailing a load of pictures, usually just for one or two to be used. Other times I'll zip up the files and upload them, but then whatever publication it is has to download a 20mb+ zip file, open it up and look through the contents.
So I thought, to make things easier, have a load of thumbnails that they can browse, and then clicking takes them to the full size image (often large resolutions/file sizes). That way they can just select the photos they want, without downloading every hi-res shot from the session.
Any advice as to what the best piece of software for this could be? It doesn't have to be flashy, maybe just a short caption etc., but as long as it has reasonably good thumbnails, and the ability to save the hi-res shots, that's all I really need.
As I say it's just for a couple of months, I'll be re-designing my site over the winter most probably, but I have a few more events to do before then.
