I took some bad images and tried to make something of them in the attempt to be more artzy and so as to not be constrained by a good image. I took 1st in color for the city scape and the other just got an 8 on a 9 point scale at the local photo club competition.

Competition judging is so subjective and subject to rating criteria, it rarely coinsides with what sells or what is popular.

As in music, sometimes less (colors) is more...
The city scape is certainly a very creative capture...

While the sculpture is complemented very well by your choice of angles and depth of field...

Congratulations Jeff...

Like the contrast in the first one. Also like the sculpture shot.
Even more though, I like the irony in that you selected what you considered to be a bad photo, PP-d it, and won a comp!
Well done!

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p
