Set the camera to My Colors and Color Swap. Press Menu
Point it at the colour you want to change from, press the left arrow.
Point it at the colour you want to change to, press the right arrow.
Use Up and Down arrows to also change similar colours; -5 for only the exact colour you picked; +5 for more range.
Menu to get back out.

Color Swap is one of the options under the SCN mode on the Ixus - it's under My Colors on my A620; sorry 'bout that.
Set Camera mode to SCN.
Press the FUNC SET button.
Use the Down arrow to move to the "Special Scenes" mode.
Use the Left and Right arrows to move to Color Swap.
Press Disp.
Find the colour (in the scene) you want to change from; press the left arrow.
Aim the camera at the colour you want to change to; press the right arrow.
Set a "tolerance" (-5 it'll change the exact colour you selected; +5, it'll change colours close to the colour you selected), then press Disp.
You're set.

did it word for word and still no joy......i pressed disp and the colour changed slightly but nothing else happened. when you say press left button it sends the selection onto colour accent. i understand if you dont want to text me again( although i really want to use this function ). there is nothing in the destructions to help. god help me.
i have found my colours in the play mode, and had a play in there. ive turned off the flash too. cheers for your help, im still new to this kind of thing but want to get into it.

Thanks Jon. I couldn't figure it out either on my SD600. I'll have to try again when I get a chance.

Its dead easy (ixus 850)
set camera to manual
press func set button.
highlight color swap, then press func set
press disp. (display) this brings up the two colour boxs

press left button focusing on the colour you want to change.(on my camera its the macro/infinity button)

press right button (on my camera its the flash button)
this will pick the colour you want to change the chosen object to.
look through the lcd, it should show your subject with a different colour
then take the photo....
hope this helps.

Does anyone know if you use the colour swap function to take a photo and save it, can it be reverted to the original picture without colour swap?

thanks

Wow...this is an old thread.

I don't believe it can be changed.
