Overall, very well done.

A little burning in PS will help the shirt, but I barely can tell it's there. Very nice, even lighting.

Looks nice. I have trouble creating this quality an image using a AB800 with an umbrella and a reflector. Softbox might be the key... Good work. Agree about the blown out shirt, but her face is nicely lit.

Lotto - what did you have your AB set at? Was it maxed out? Or did ya have lots of room left?
(Trying to decide on the 800 or the 400)

Any tips on avoiding the burnt out shirt? I recently shot a model angled towards the lights and her one white blouse collar (closest to the main) was burnt out - the other was fine. I did not notice at the time of the shoot.

Thanks. I was testing this Olympus p/s with the Bees, my daugher wanted to jump in and be the model, how could I refuse?;) I could've pointed the softbox higher and feather the light down, might help to tone down the shirt a bit. Thanks for pointed it out.

I don't like to use a umbrella in my garage, as it has very bright white walls and ceiling. It's a spill city everywhere.

The AB400 was set @ between 1/4 and 1/2 power, with the equivalent of f8 iso100. I do kids shots most of time, the 400 has more than enough power, and it could dial down to f2.8 quite easy.

Here's another one with the same setting. Please excuse the bad crop, it's almost imposible to frame through that tiny p/s viewfinder.

Very nice lighting, but could be excellent with a small hair light. So, are you going to retire your 580EX and 430EX since you've got the AB400? ;)

I also have an issue with bright white walls and ceilings. You have helped me decide how to best control the spill problem I have been experincing. Thanks.

nice photo mate. what do you mean by med SB at left?
also, was that all you used. the AB400 and a white reflector.
i really want to get into doing some family portraits, though studio photography is a new game for me to be honest. when purchasing the AB400 does this come supplied with a stand for it and regarding the white reflector, is this just on a stand too on the right to reflect the light?
thanks
