I'm surprised none of Kerso's legion of very happy customers have shouted up yet :)

Warehouse Express are certainly very good. However, check out these two - pretty good on price and service too!

Probably because he isn't an online store, which is what the OP was asking about.

I have heard that Kerso does a good deal, but he is an ebay seller rather than a big business.

Remember that Jessops shops will undercut any UK website. Therefore if anything goes wrong you can go back and remonstrate with a spotty oik!

ha! you'd be lucky.

I asked them to do that once "Sorry, it'd damage our profits"

That was the last time I ever entered one of their shops.

Canon 40D :: 50mm f1.8 mk II :: 17-40mm f4 L :: EX 430 :: Canon EOS 50 :: Canon AE-1 Program :: FD 50mm f1.8 :: FD 28mm f2.8 :: FD 135mm f3.5 :: Ilford HP5 Film :: Developing kit. No website, nothing serious, I just like taking photos

Well I've had them do it before without much hassle and I keep seeing ads saying they will. I'm also asking for vouchers for Xmas so I can go in there and get that nice shiny lens I want! (and not for the price they advertise it either!)

No matter how much you learn, there's always someone who knows more.

I was going to mention that too. Jessops price matched for me, with Warehouse Express prices. I also feel reassured knowing there's a "real" store locally I can deal with.

You can deal direct with Ian. Send him a PM here on POTN (You'll get even better prices that way).

Also you can request a voucher book from Canon and you can claim the money off on a variety of lenses.

Here's his current price list - if there's a lens you want that's not there he can source whatever you like.

Top seller and a top bloke.

I have bought three 'L' lenses off of Ian Kerr (Kerso) with no problems at all and his prices are well below the on-line stores. If you deal with him direct the prices are less than those he quotes on ebay.

They may be a good store but they have a habit of spamming photographic forums.

I've bought most of my gear from Ian at great prices - and better service than any shop. Had a problem when I got the 70-200 as the zoom ring was way too tight. No questions asked Ian took the lens back and shipped out a new one!!! You would be lucky to get service like that anywhere else.

He met a few of the POTNers in Scotland last week when he was on holiday back home. I was away on business so missed him but he did take me for dinner last year :-)

That's the kind of guy he is.

Thanks Jim, I am due you a pint of beer and a packet of crisps again. The 70-200mm F4 is £375, the IS version I have stock at £680. As you know all my lenses have Canon 1 year International warranty as well as Kerso 1 year warranty. Also my stock is all sent from Scotland so no worry of tax which I pay when I receive goods. Ian.
