Hi everyone

I had spoted this place at early summer but the point the sun was sitting during sunset, wasn`t what i was looking for.
A couple of weeks ago,i visited the place again, this time with John (Rudge),but still not the right possition.
Yesterday finaly, the sun had moved well into its south possition and this time it was well clear off the big black rock, right where i wanted him to be.

Another problem was the tide,it had to be a high tide to get all these rocks into the frame as that was the comp.i was after.

Why am i telling you all this? Patience, that the reason, and most of the time it works.
I don`t know if it has worked here though...:lol:,you tell me.

As usuall, click on picture for a larger version, and thank you for looking.

Amazing shot! I love it. I don't think there is anything that you could really do to make it any better. That's just my 2 cents.

Very nice moody shot, the sea looks like dry ice :)

I presume the molar looking rock is dark due to a GND filter over the sky?

Excellent work Dimitri - you have an uncanny knack of cramming so much detail into your images, it really works. Excellent detail & content so well exposed. Canny job Dimitri.

That's gorgeous Dimitri, and the conditions are so much better than when we were there together. The exposure time is just right for the water effect and the lighting on the rocks gives the scene an ethereal air to it. Of course it means that my attempts pale into insignificance in comparison, so another Troon visit is definitely. So, call me the next time you're desparate for company, and this time lunch is on me! ;)

Pretty cool Dimitri... but that big rock in the puddle has spoiled it... and where is all the smoke coming from?

Hahahaha... yeah right.

Lovely moody shot as usual, your standards are such that I should just copy and paste the same compliments each time.

Always a pleasure to see Ayrshire in a different light, no matter how long you waited.
