Great shot, I love the water, the blues of the water work great with the setting sun, excellent exposure! PP? ND Grads?

love the textures and colors.. and all of the lines.. from the rocks leading your eyes to the left to the sun leading you straight out ahead..just very cool and that water looks almost surreal... Well done!

sari

Thanks Sari,much appreciated.

Im fascinated by this shot Dimitri! Another stunning shot from you, i especially like the last rays of sun on the foreground rocks and how the clouds and sun form a pastel canvas. I dare say that this is among your best shots :) Just Beautiful!

Red faced Daman,:o,thanks buddy.:)

You must be satisfied to get the shot you had planned and envisaged for some time: Dimitri. Well done. I like the photograph its colour and light. One point though I think the horizon needs to be rotated level slightly ...

Lovely shot D. Initially I thought I wasn't keen on the big rock to the right as I didn't think it fit into the scene considering the foreground rocks are not in silhouette, but I think the image would be empty without something there, so nice work.

Exactly my thought Adam,if you can imagine it without the rock,it definitely would look empty.

I used a 3 stop hard Lee nd grad and a 1 stop soft nd grad, also the Lee polariser to avoid reflections on the water as much as i could.

95 % of the PP was done during the raw conversion with lightroom.

Lovely shot Dimitri. The setting suns rays on the foreground rocks and the blurred sea make this shot IMO.

Beautiful shot, Dimitri.
I love the liquid mercury effect of the waves lapping on the pebbles and the golden light on the foreground rocks.
Worth the wait.

Dimitri, I've been spending shameably little time on this forum lately, but luckily I had a look at your picture. :D The winter solstice (22 Dec) is approaching, there is no snow, the ground is wet and colorless. Your picture really brought light into my day.

My wife next to me had a look as well, and her immediate comment was that it was like from a scifi movie - a very positive comment. ;)

Love the shot, really like the light source in the rocks in the foreground. Just enough and not too much. Excellent shot, thank for sharing.
