Movie blocky

I dont know if this is the right forum but I need some help. When I download to my computer the video that I recorded on my Canon Power Shot A530, it comes up a little blocky. How can I fix this problem, or is it possible? Thanks for the help.

Blocky? Try shooting at the highest resolution.


I got stuff for taking pictures. :o When things are unclear - It's time to refocus. :rolleyes:

What do you mean by "blocky"? And remember, the best resolution you can get from the camera for movies is 640x480, which is much less than most computer displays run at these days.

what are you using to download? usb? are you downloading to internal hard drive or to a usb hard drive? Is this the first time it has happened or has it always happened with video?

By blocky I mean if your looking at the movie as it plays its all, well, blocky. As in you see everything blocky..lol..I dont know how to explain. Sorry I can't explain better. I will get it fig. out tho-, thanks for the replies. If anyone knows what I mean by this please give reply. If it can be fixed great, if not, it's life...lol

Could you post an example?. Use BSplayer, a player that has the option to take a snapshot...

Besides that, most monitors run at 800x600 and higher resolutions, so to see the vid at full screen, will turn into a loss of quality... ;)

but, keep in mind that if you play those videos on a TV, they'll perfect, because TVs uses lower resolutions... (700 or so)...
