Can't say I have noticed anything on my 30D when using the f/2 or f/2.8 lenses. They must have to be L glass then?
Nope. Mine aren't L's remember

They must have to be L glass then? no. might just be a limit of the focus drive. i really dont know that ive ever noted a difference. then again ive never shot one of my 2.8 lenses on a body that didnt have the sensitivity. im sure it helps a lot in low light. Mr. the Kid.

I was playing with different focus points at a Rally a couple of weeks back and the centre point rarely failed to lock. The other points hunted occasionally. come to think of it i have noticed that a lot. when shooting night football if i use one of the off centered focus points my accuracy goes down significatly Mr. the Kid.
