When do some members find time to have a day job, shoot, and post here? I got curious as to how many posts a few members had put up since their initial join date, so I took a look at the Members List and clicked on posts to sort for the high tally. One respected member whose name I see around here often has about 17,284 posts and has been a member for about 24 months. Do the math and that's 720 posts per month, roughly 24 posts per day, or 1 post every hour!!!

Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.

1 post an hour is nothing. I do around 22/day. It's not tough to post a good 20 times in an hour, if you spend a solid hour reading and replying. If you're a decent typist, it doesn't take more than a few seconds to type a sentence. Reading, even quicker.

Tim

I remember when Tim was a new member. He used to go down the list of new posts and reply to nearly every one of them at an incredible rate of speed. :)

As for working, shooting, and posting, my shooting is one of my jobs, and I post while I'm batch processing the shots. I also sleep very little.

I post while I'm at work, shoot when I'm at home. Simple case of time management really...

I tend to post in the evenings, often when I am between calls on night duty. i also sometimes post a bit in the mornings or at lunch time if I have the fancy - but on the whole i read more than i respond to. i like the chat threads but don't always get involved.
