This is a picture I took from a cabin I was staying at over this past Thanksgiving day Weekend.

I was trying out my new 30D with 28-135mm IS lens. I took a ton of pictures but only a few came out. Mostly cloudy and snowy the whole time but the sun cracked out when I got this one.

Comments are welcome, I'm here to learn.

Beautiful scene and well captured. Makes me miss home. Ah, Ohio, not Washington.

Todd,

A nice scence - the light on the branch at the front is fantstic.
A couple of quick items - the chimmeny seems a little bit blurry and if I were you I would look to concentrate on a smaller element in the image e.g the branch at the front.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Thank you, everyone for the comments.

kendickson, I noticed the blurry chimney too... and I began thinking that maybe, and I hate to even say this, but maybe it's from the front window of the cabin I was staying in. Yes, I shot that picture through the living room window.

Thanks again for the feedback.
