Congrats Ron. 10,000 posts!

I know I brought some of your stock once - your ex-gear is probably all around the world.

And Ron, where's your 10,000K-worthy photo?

I doubt it. I don't post as much as I did say 2-3 weeks ago. When I started out in this hobby a few months back, I had a lot to learn, ask, and discuss. Now there is less of that, and more commenting on my behalf. My post count was like 31 posts per day a few weeks ago, but now it's already dropped 4 posts per day.

Ron, your posts are always fun to read anyway :).

Ronald who?

I want you all to appreciate one thing: For every one of those 10,000 posts, there was a crew of moderators looking over his shoulder who had to read each and every one of them.

Ronald: you've made a whole lot of work for us.

Congratulations.

Oh sure..makin' me feel bad about being here. :p

Were my posts that hard to understand that the whole crew of mods had to read them? ;-)a

I think I worked the hardest at keeping you alive here, Ronald (as a Mod);)
Seriously, I am honored to be among the named special people here. Congrats on 10K and outposting me in a matter of months! Looking forward to the next 10K!

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I always thought s/he was a girl

Anyway, well done at being crazy and having no life Ron ... it's all relative anyway (or virtual in your case) and it really doesn't matter a jot. When I was your age I would have been chasing girls and drinking, but what good does that do anyone  Hell, at your age I would have given anything to be surrounded by a whole bunch of half crazy grandma's :D

I have learnt to respect you over the time you have been here, but then I keep forgetting to try and reality takes over  I don't mean to pull your leg so much, but you are a wriggling worm to my hungry Trout :p

Now you are finally starting to appreciate what I have told you all along about non-Canon gear then maybe it will all change and we'll be like twin brothers (me the more handsome, successful and intelligent one of course!) to Petkals grumpy old dad  We'll be shooting Ducks with our double-barrel Bigma's :D

Here's to your next couple of posts before your modem finally fails (insert one of Marie's nutty 'cheers' GIF's here) Congrats and thanks for sharing :p

Me? A girl? I am almost offended! :(.

The internet is a powerful tool, and although it can take away from our lives, I must say one thing, it is an incredible resource, and I have an ridiculous wealth of knowledge because of forums and time on the computer. I am almost convinced what I have learned on the internet is more useful then most of what I have learned in school.

Ron you set the bar darlin'.. truly.. i'm really confused though.. two 30D's?... what's up Ron? were you bored again...?..

sari

Two 30D's. Well, I got one at such an insane price, it'd be stupid not to buy it. The other was just because with this number of lenses, I'd like two bodies. Using mostly primes, it's nice to not have to change lenses as much.

Do you know that a good percentage of the reason why I went back to a 30D was because I wanted length in my lenses, and in particular, a bigma?!

The good news is that if my modem fails, the cable company replaces it for free. If my router fails, it's goodbye brick!

LOL...80% of them were saying "she's hot" just to up my post count. You learned from that?!

..will you really be happy with the 30D? Given the fact that you shoot in low light so much?

Welp, now it doesn't matter. My plans got screwed up majorly, and everything's cancelled. Now I have to buy a couple things back, cancel an order, lose a couple things I didn't want to lose, and have less than I started out with. Joy!

So, the 5D remains, huh? Poor dear! You will have to suffer with that and without the 85 1.2. BTW, I'm looking forward to seeing the shots with the 50 1.2 so many people here have on order. I'm thinking down the line, I may want the 85 or the 50 because I wasnt to do more portrait work. Weddings are so stressful.

I'm depressed, Suzy. I was all worked up and excited over getting those other things.

I fear we are kindred spirits, Ronald. When I get a new toy, I am so excited and play with it until something different is ahead. I always seem to want something more or different shortly after getting what I thought I really wanted. But seriously, I have grown up a little through the years. I can hold off longer between wanting something new. So, for me, the 5D, 20D with all my gear right now, is really quite wonderful. I have a lot to learn still and I can't imagine having any more fun then now. I think I have the best possible tools to shoot amazing pictures. So, enjoy the great stuff you have now and worry about the new or different stuff later. Opportunities seem to always come your way, Ronald, regardless. So, just go out and shoot something. If you are starved to make changes, you will find them. You always seem to. :)

Wow, I just looked at the member list.... Pekka only posts 3.71 a day.

Ron is #1 "PPD" (posts-per-day) for the top 5, after that LordV beats him by a hair at 22.11 a day.
