Welp, now it doesn't matter. My plans got screwed up majorly, and everything's cancelled. Now I have to buy a couple things back, cancel an order, lose a couple things I didn't want to lose, and have less than I started out with. Joy!

I'm sorry your plans didn't work out Ron. Knowing you though, you'll have something else, bigger and better on the horizon...I'll just be waiting to see what it is ;)

Ron,

Congratulations on a significant milestone. The best thing is that your posts are helpful and you address serious questions with serious answers.

Don't look over your shoulder I'm only 9,600 posts behind ;)

I've always liked your avatars, Jim. I have a Westy as well. Mine's going on 10 years. Yours is just plain adorable.

Ron,

I agree this is one cute pup, but alas not mine. I did a photo shoot two weeks ago for a young couple who are adopting a child from China. They needed a 40 photo portfolio to go with their application showing them in a social, neighborhood, and home setting. We had a grand time doing this...I used my 17-55MM, my 85MM, and my 30MM lenses and both camera bodies. I did it for the experience and gave them about 200 pictures on disk and printed out the best 40 for them to use. They saved a bundle of $$ and I gained a lot of valuable experience.

They had two of the cutest dogs I have ever seen. So, I made photos of them as well and gave them a couple of framed copies to keep. My current avatar is one of the "keepers" :)

in the news today, it has been reported that Ronald S, Jr. has reached ten thousand posts. The forum Moderators have commented that while this story to be true most of what he has posted is complete and ata dribble. The forum itself is a community of photographers who use canon equipment. There are rumours however that this Ronald has of late being trying to use a brick as a camera. This of course does rise the question if Ronald knows what he is talking about. Attempts to contact this "person" has failed.

It seems so pointless to say, but it's quality---not quantity---that counts.

Hmmmm. 19 posts to hit 13,000.

Nice shot.
