im taking a class at a homeschool co-op & i haven't learned anything.... well all it is is composition but serioulsy haven't learned anything bc nothing is taught, all we have to do is take pictures but I feel so uninspired I don't know what to take pics of? . I've learned more just by looking @ this forum & reading half of this kodak book on composition.. I wish someone would teach me. all my photos on my 10d come out blurry.. is it a bad lens? Tamron 28-75 (I think) I guess I dont know how to set it.. yikes!Oh well, I'll learn:)

ballerina, PM me and I will help ASAP show me what you have and I can help No charge,

Forget about the creative side for now teach them how to use the camera
what is shutter speed, what is and ISO and teach them composition after the basics are learnd they can then experiment with more creative photography and have a strong foundation. One thing you can do is have them visualize what they would like the photo to look like and help them achieve it. If you have a good understanding of the basics and have a pre-visualized image then you are not at the mercy of the equipment, you make it work for you.

^^^ exactly....How familiar are they with camera's - such as aperature / iso and such ? Maybe do a print out you can give them with definition of the main parts of a camera and each item that makes up a final picture.
