Have you considered a portrait crop of the tree to focus on that and the beautiful sky, and to cut out the slightly distracting blown-out areas to the left? I think that this would give a very strong image indeed.

I think that this would give a very strong image indeed. No , I had not considered that as this shot was done with a 10-20 mm lens in an effort to get as much of the sky and landskape as possible. However I see your point ! The white (blown out) area to the left is actually another layer of clouds, more like a thick fog/haze which is well defined in the full version of this photo...detailing lost only in the reduction of resolution for web use here...this was a big file.. Also ther is a blink of red where the sun was setting in the lower left corner that I really liked that dissabeared when "saved for web" The "eyes" have it !
