I just recently bought a Canon 30D. I take photos in RAW and i often have to boost shadows in all my photos by around 6-7 points. Is there a custom function in the 30D where i can boost it up?

When i click on the auto-functions (just for test), all the RAW files need 6 point extra boost in shadow histogram. When you say 'need' what do you mean? Do you mean to make it look good in your eyes or to ... what? Al

RAW is not a panacea, and lifting shadows even in RAW by as much as I think you're describing can produce a lot of noise. You may need to think about 1) choosing scenes with lower contrast, or 2) changing your approach to metering.
