hi all. Here is my question:

i am a pj and shoot under very demanding circumstances that requires me to tear out my camera in a moment and shoot. Thus as you can imagine the shutter adjustment wheel is killing me. The vertiacal and horizontal controls are constantly rolling and screwing my shots up. I read in the book that i can program the wheel to be locked> however, i cant seem to figure out how to get into my personal functions. it says that i need to sync the camera witha computer and disk?
any help is much appreciated.
thanks
brett

well you can turn that wheel on and off right on the back of the camera,

and read this, the info might bet there for explaining how to do personal functions. you neeed a firewire cable and the canon software installed.

PFns can be set using a PC/Mac with Eos Utility and a FireWire cable.
You are looking for PFn 30 to lock both weels simultaniously.
(There is also CFn 5 to switch the operation of the main and back dial in M. You might try and use that if you don't have access to a computer)

The disk with the image browser should also have the rest of the EOS utilities you need to set the PFs.

yes i found it! duh! my english is pretty bad and when i read i was not seeing properly. Okay. That really helps quite a bit.
You see i store my camera in bag and often have to remove cameras and shoot in fraction of seconds. Often i would release the camera and the wheel would adjust the shutter and pow!! from 1/400th to 1/60th in a slap of the wheel.
