HOW DO I DELETE PHOTOS FROM MEMORY CARD?

My lcd screen is broken, and I just can't afford to get it fixed right now. I have a PowerShot SD450 and when the screen worked I could go in and delete the photos but since I can't see anything on the screen, it is impossible because I can't remember exactly how i did it.

Can anyone walk me through the process?

Get a card reader and delete them from your computer. If you're trying to delete them individually it's the only safe method.

Alternatively, hook the camera up to your TV and use the TV screen as the camera's LCD.

Format the card on you computer

Connect the camera to a computer, go to "MY Computer" folder, double click the camera icon. You shall see your pics there. Select all and delete.

Put the card in someone elses camera and format it on theres.

Card reader is the easiest, safest, and fastest way. You can transfer faster to your computer in the first place too if you get a USB2.0 or FireWire reader. Much better than using the camera itself.

Once you transfer, use the reader to format it and you have a clean slate...and you get rid of all the leftover junk that most cameras leave behind as well.

How do you reformat the card in the card reader? I'm not exactly sure where my manual is right now.
My card keeps saying there's no pictures, so I can't delete anything with the camera, but I know there's something there because the photos available count is way to low

Assuming Windows. Right-click on the card reader icon in Windows Explorer/My Computer. Choose "Format" from the resulting pop-up menu. Choose OK, and let it work.
