I took this shot of Preston Mill in East Linton, Scotland, and then tried a bit of processing on it. The result kind of reminds me of the paintings of Thomas Kinkade. What do you think? Bearing in mind that I wanted a slight "fantasy" look to it, is it too much?

Very nicely done, I love the artistic look to this. You are right about the Kinkade look, all that is missing is some yellow light in the windows. :D

Very nice John, it has the Cadbury Biscuit tin look about it. Well composed with even the water ripples leading the eye into the frame.

I do think however that the shuttlecock on the roof spoils the rest of the architecture :p.

Cheers.

Thank you Mark, Dimitri, and Frank for your comments.

black, and Dave: I first did my normal processing which is usually just some levels, and then ran the Midnight Gold action (which can be found here (external link) - somewhere on that page).

Thanks Martin. I wondered what you meant by shuttlecock at first.

Thanks Sandy, and good point about the light. Perhaps I might try darkening it a bit and then add some yellow windows. :)

I dare say that the glow one does similar processing, but see above for the actual action used.

Very nicely done.
I like the effect and the composition is great.
Fine art paper. well mounted and a good frame is all that is required.
Try Lumijet Museum Parchment, excellent.
