I am a DSLR guy, but I am getting a P&S for my GF. She wanted something small that would fit in her purse. I looked at the Canon Elfs, but was able to get more "bang per buck" with the Kodak v610. Anyone use one? What are your Pros and Cons?

That would be a thought, but I purchased the v610. Just wanted to hear some user comments. Thanks. :)

You're on a CANON forum telling us you bought a KODAK camera.
What do you expect?:)

I've never heard anything good about Kodak P&S, I have 2 friends who bought about 3 years ago and both cameras are now dead. Hope you dont have that experience. Sorry I don't have better news.

Max
There's no such thing as a bad photo, just the wrong audience.
EQUIPMENT: Canon Powershot S3 IS, 2x Transcend 2GB x150 SD, 2x 4GB Class 4 Dane-Elec SDHC, LensMate 52mm Adapter Tube and lots of stuff to hang on it.
A couple of flashes and a couple of strobes. My other camera is a Sony DSC-P200.

Hey, my DC290's still going strong when called on (which isn't that infrequently) to immortalize the family dogs.
