Is there any reason to do with the camera not to get it?

I'll be using the 16-35L and 70-200 2.8L

In the near future i"ll purchase the 50 1.4

I hope to do this for a living as i already have had offers and did some work. I have had my 30D for six months and I didn't have a clue when i got it. I have had lot's of practice and studied numerous books and I am happy with my progress (check out my website).

I will be keeping my 30D as a backup or P&S just kiding:D.

I have both a 1D and a 30D and I intend to keep both (unless I get a 1D MkII...) because while the 1D has superior handling and speed, the 30D has better resolution, low-light capabilities, and battery life. Not to mention, I like the 1.6x crop and I can't find a good replacement for my 10-22. I really like being able to use a CPL on 16mm equivalent.

are you talking about the MKII or MKI. both are excellent cameras. if you get the markII then there are no reasons why not to get it. the mkI is great too, but lacks a bit in noise control and battery life, i still love mine though.

I own both the 1Ds MK II and the 1D MK IIN.

Best of both worlds here with top speed and top quality.

Ask yourself what you need. Just remember that Cameras are tools, they will not make you a better photographer.

Depends on what you want to do professionally. The 1dmk2n is absolutely the best when it comes to fast frame rates and dead on focusing ability with its 45 af points.

In my situation, i use my 5d for weddings and portraits, and the 1dmk2n for baseball, sports, action, etc...

The 1DMII and 1DMIIN are simply the best action cameras hands down.

How's the Autofocus on the 1D's MKII for tracking wildlife?
Wildlife is mostly going to be the hobby side unless i have some perfect shots that i could frame and sell.

the 1 series cameras have the best autofocus in existence (in my opinion, but i think its a fact since the 1d and 300 2.8 are the fastest focusing combo on the planet)
im still confused. u keep saying 1D's. are you getting the 1D MKII or the 1Ds MKII
