This camera will last me as long as Canon will replace parts for it. I plan to keep it forever.

How's the Autofocus on the 1D's MKII for tracking wildlife?
Wildlife is mostly going to be the hobby side unless i have some perfect shots that i could frame and sell.

Shot with a 1DMII and 100-400 IS L:

I didnt get much time to learn how to use the camera today but took it to work to see how it performs. All my pictures taken indoors were either green, under exposed, blurry and with lots of noise. i clearly underestimated the difference with the pro body and the requirement to understand the equipment.

At lunch I thought I'd give the camera a real attempt so took some photos of camden lock. I was struggling with the white balance throughout my 30minutes of shooting, everything looked green for some reason.

heres my first test shots, in Raw and converted into jpegs in rawshooter. I think I will be spending some time with this baby over the weekend, I surely need it. Oh photos look too sharp and they seem to have lost some colour in the conversion. Taken with a sigma 20-40ex.

I love my 1D classic. I don't see the need to upgrade to anything else! :D

Does the 1D's MKII have firewire 400 or 800?

FireWire 400. Canon hasn't released a still camera with FireWire 800 yet (and I have no knowledge as to whether they've released FireWire 800 video cameras either).
