always wanted to know - how do you start the engines..key/button?

No keys on large jets, either a rotary switch or button, a fuel switch allows the fuel to be introduced at the proper RPM and temperature.

Temperature? Every Boeing I've ever flown, the start lever is raised at a specific RPM.

On the Rolls Royce RB211 the EGT must be below 100C prior to fuel on, normally just a turn limit.

If my goal was big iron, the 757 would be it. I hear it is like a big learjet.

Dead fossils is a reference to petroleum based fuel. As in " I watched 100, 000 pounds of dead fossils go out of the tailpipe today."

The Got part is a play on the silly "Got Milk?" ad campaign asking if you had a good stock of the American Dairy producers favorite product.

I confess, it's bad and obtuse, and I regret my crimes against the state.

Should I be worried about my "carbon footprint"?

Don't worry about the carbon footprint - i think for number of people and distance covered it's quite efficient.

BTW I think 757 are as rare as hen's teeth in Australia. Don't ever remember seeing one.
